HOSPITALS

HOSPITALS CURRENTLY RELY ON THE DISPOSAL OF BIO-HAZARDOUS WASTE IN RED PLASTIC BAGS WHICH USUALLY REQUIRE SAFE TRANSPORTATION OFF-SITE FOR INCINERATION.
The Safe-Decon System integrates with current hospital systems and provides a safe way to decontaminate hospital waste onsite.
In a few simple steps the system renders all bio-hazardous waste safe:
1
Medical waste such as bed linens, bandages or surgical equipment that may have been in contact with bio-hazardous pathogens is thrown into the Safe-Decon pedal bin. The airtight seal and antimicrobial coating allow safe transport of the waste out of the room and to an onsite autoclave.

2
Once ready, the Safe-Decon container is placed inside the autoclave. The Sterilize temperature is set to 250F (121°C) for 30 minutes/ prevac with a 2–minute purge and a 5–minute dry. A load probe can be inserted inside one of the containers to monitor that desired temperatures have been reached and waste is fully decontaminated.
3
After the cycle has been completed and it is safe to remove the container, it can be wiped down, ready to use again. All contained waste is rendered safe and can be thrown away in regular trash or recycled as required.
